It’s Been a Long Strange Trip… and it’s not over yet
In 1982, the Commodore 64 hit the market, Time magazine named the Personal Computer it’s Machine of the Year, and I started my first adult job as a Computer Operator on a Burroughs 4600 Mainframe (complete with punch cards, 10.5 in reel to reel tape, and an 80 character line matrix printer).
Back then, my dream was to be a hot shot Cobol programmer, working for IBM, and rolling in the dough. That was then. And now here I am, just another sixty something tech guy trying to earn a buck or two doing what I love… My tech thing.
