What is ‘Trigger’?
When I changed the layout for my Blocksy theme blog, the menu no longer appeared on my mobile version. This was odd. I spent all of yesterday looking for, and finally finding the answer. This may be old hat to most of you, but just in case you have the same problem, here ya go…
- In the Dashboard, click Customize
- In Customize, click Header
- At the bottom of the screen, you’ll see tree images, click on the Mobile image
- On the left, under Customizing: Global Header, you’ll see a list of ‘Elements’
- On the right you’ll see a diagram of Header Rows and an ‘Off Canvas Area’
- Drag the ‘Trigger’ element to one of the Header Row locations
- What is a Trigger?
- You should see an icon of three horizontal lines. When clicked, the Trigger icon launches whatever you have place in the Off Canvas Area
- Now, drag the ‘Mobile Menu’ element to the Off Canvas Area block
- What is a Mobile Menu?
Now, when you click on the Trigger icon on your mobile device, the Mobile Menu will show up on your phone. Pretty cool.
